On the 29th day of September, the Nova School of Business & Economics wrote another page of its history, when it inaugurated its new campus in Carcavelos, where it is possible to "admire the breadth of horizons, the architecture, light quality, the integration logic, the family environment of the residence and, always, the unique warmth of the human environment", as described by Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President of the Portuguese Republic.

The celebratory atmosphere crossed the border of the Hovione Atrium, where the official ceremony took place and invaded all corners of the campus that opened up to the community, from former to current students, from staff to professors, from corporate partners to people who left their name marked on the building.

The Ming C. Hsu Executive Hall, home to Nova SBE's executive training, was no exception. To the sound of Men in Black (where Emanuel Manzarra shines as a vocalist, guitarist and former student of the Applied Management Program), the guests transformed the lounge into a dance floor.

Each classroom was the stage for one of the challenges in the Nova SBE Executive Education’s 2019 portfolio, presented by its professors in videos that transported us to the daily life of an executive training student. The challenges were (and are) 8:

  1. Think strategically, create value, accelerate growth;

  2. Manage financial agility;

  3. Design the future of operations management;

  4. Implement the digital transformation of the business;

  5. Lead me and lead others;

  6. Drive innovation and deliver value to customers;

  7. Lead global industries;

  8. Promote sustainable business initiatives.

Everyone who joined the party was invited to vote for the challenge they face as professionals, generating a large-scale graphic that is still part of the Lookout Room furniture, the room most coveted by executives who participate in the programs, as it is the place where the coffee breaks take place and the enviable view that has already generated many "likes" on Instagram.

"The main impact of the first weeks on the new campus is given to us by companies and executives who have already worked with us and who report a stimulus to go further, to dare and aspire more to your business or activity, to think further, grow more".

These were the words of Luís Rodrigues, CEO of Nova SBE Executive Education, who believes that the new home of the Executive Education is already making a difference and guarantees that everyone who wants to visit it will certainly be well received.
