Inspired by Davos and with the signature “Where do we go from here?”, This initiative aims to put Lisbon at the center of the debate about future trends in leadership worldwide - and Nova SBE will help bring the academy into the international discussion.
This initiative is part of the growing recognition that Nova SBE has received to train executives in the People Management area, and in 2018 Leadership will also name the new building for Executive Training: the Ming C. Hsu Executive Leadership Center, on the new Carcavelos campus.

That is why the opportunities for sharing experiences, life stories, different perspectives and new knowledge about people, leadership, motivation, and solutions are to be encouraged» defends Luís Rodrigues, CEO of Nova SBE Executive Education. «To the question “Where do we go from here?” No one alone can assume that he has the answer. A healthy level of sharing and joint discussion like the Leadership Summit provides contributes to the collective responses we need. As the adage says, alone we can go faster, but what we really want is to go further, better! »
In September, approximately 1,500 people are expected at the Lisbon Congress Center, with internationally renowned speakers on stage, such as the philosopher Gilles Lipovetsky, professor Marisa Miraldo of Imperial College and the former CEO of several Formula 1 teams, Mark Gallagher.
During the afternoon, among several speakers and debate panels, Nadim Habib, a specialist in leadership, creativity, and innovation, will take the stage. The Nova SBE professor will talk about future-proof organizations, and how a new leadership model can drive the organization to deliver better results in a context of continuous and accelerated change, inserted in a more agile and adjustable structure for change.

This is the first edition of the initiative that will take place annually in the Portuguese capital and in which it is intended to produce relevant international knowledge in terms of leadership. During the rest of the year, the topic will continue to be studied and discussed in the classroom at Nova SBE's Ming C. Hsu Executive Leadership Center, in different formats ranging from postgraduate courses to intensive courses with the most renowned specialists in the market.
During the event, the first issue of Líder magazine will also be presented, which, on a quarterly basis, will develop the topics discussed and prepare the contents of the following editions. The content management of the magazine will be the responsibility of Professor Miguel Pina e Cunha from Nova SBE.
