Innovation with a business impact requires a balance of skill sets that is difficult to achieve - but now it will be possible with Nova SBE.
In 2017, Nova SBE presented itself to the market with a very complete Executive Education portfolio, comprising almost 50 short, medium and long-term programs, in different formats and 7 different areas of expertise. In addition to the courses that companies annually have, there were many new features, particularly 3 totally new areas: Operations Management, Digital, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
Particularly in Innovation & Entrepreneurship, the school's commitment does not begin with Executive Education. In addition to the subject already being taught in undergraduate and master's degrees and highly promoted among the students, even at the beginning of last year, professor Miguel Muñoz Duarte created the Nova SBE Venture Lab, a knowledge center for innovation and entrepreneurship that will be a catalyst for innovation for international entrepreneurs as well as for innovative and ambitious national companies.
In fact, it would be a matter of time for the topic to reach the executives, and the perfect timing was 2017, starting with a closed partnership at the end of last year with IES - Social Business School, whose goals are to strengthen cooperation in the social innovation and social entrepreneurship areas. In this context, the Managing Impact Business (MIB) program joins the Nova SBE Executive Education portfolio with a view to training for these areas and accelerating the impact of initiatives and organizations that are born or developed in the program.
To complete the offer, the school also has two renowned professors in this area of expertise: Nadim Habib (whose video on Innovation in Jornal Económico is running on social media and has already gone viral) and Miguel Muñoz Duarte, Executive Director of Nova SBE Venture Lab.
The first program to debut the partnership, Innovation Management, starting on March 14th, was developed knowing that innovative organizations work better, recruit better, communicate better and adapt better - but still talk about innovation may be easy, but innovating is not. And it is precisely this problem that Nadim Habib comes to solve, helping companies to build a solid innovation ecosystem that converts unique ideas into an organized, continuous and productive flow of ideas and processes.
A program that also promises to bring innovation “out of the box” to daily business is the Open Innovation & Corporate Entrepreneurship intensive course, which will bring concepts like crowdsourcing, open innovation, intrapreneurship, user-generated to the table innovation and corporate venture capital. If you want to know how to take advantage of the innovation potential that is outside the organization, then this is the ideal course for you.
Innovation with a business impact requires a balance of skill sets that is difficult to achieve - but now it will be possible to do so, with Nova SBE.
